Sodium Chloride Hypersalt Eye Drops are a hypertonic ophthalmic solution used to reduce corneal swelling (edema) and relieve discomfort caused by conditions such as corneal edema, keratitis, or after eye surgery. The solution contains a higher concentration of sodium chloride than normal tears, which helps draw excess fluid out of the cornea through osmosis, restoring clarity and improving vision.
Mechanism of Action:
The hypertonic solution creates an osmotic gradient that pulls water from the cornea into the tear film, thereby reducing swelling and helping to maintain normal corneal thickness.

-
Keratitis or other conditions causing corneal fluid accumulation
