Lipid Modifying Agent

A lipid-modifying agent is a drug that alters lipid levels in the blood—mainly cholesterol and triglycerides—to reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. These drugs are also called antilipemic agents or hypolipidemic drugs.
